I’m reviving my love of creating colour moodboards for you. Today I’ve created an alternative Autumn colour palette.
This moodbaord started with an antique rose I was given at my local florist. I adore autumn but oranges and reds just aren’t ‘me’. There is an alternative autumn colour palette, in the form of blush pinks, soft dove greys and pastel burnt umber. This palette is soft and romantic.
Now it’s September, I’m looking forward to snuggling up in the cooler evenings in chunky knits and cosy blankets. With my fair skin, I much prefer the cooler weather and donning a stylish winter coat. Hats, beautiful silk scarves and stylish boots are much more my style.
Uses For This Autumn Colour Palette
Use this autumn colour palette in your interior design, craft projects or to inspire your social media posts in September and October.
Here are some suggestions on how to you can use this autumn colour palette:
- Flowers: bouquets of antique or white roses, eucalyptus, sage, dusty miller and juniper berries.
- Stationary: write a letter to a loved one on handmade or parchment paper, handwritten or in a swirling calligraphy style font. Wrap your letter in a blush pink ribbon for a touch of romance.
- Interiors: dove grey walls, white french farmhouse distressed furniture, simple dried eucalyptus in glass vases.
- Wardrobe style: a blush pink coat over black jeans and a simple off white cashmere jumper topped off with dove grey fedora over pastel rose pink hair.
