This deep blue and teal colour palette moodboard is sure to add a touch of wow to your next creative project, wardrobe update or interior design restyle.
Perhaps it’s the darker evenings or the cooler weather but I’m so drawn to darker hues right now. As a lover of pastels, I realise this is a U-turn from my usual lighter style. Maybe the rebel in me is counteracting the wealth of Scandinavian minimalist style (that I still adore) but I’m craving depth and shadow.
I love to flick through an interior design magazine or two for inspiration and I’m seeing a lot of these beautiful dark blues and teal hues.

These colours lend themselves so well to texture. Think sumptuous materials such as velvet or silk. Finishing touches in brass or gold. It’s rich, deep and gorgeous.
These statement loaf sofas are firmly on my wishlist. If you don’t want to go all out deep blue, they would make great statement pieces to compliment this colour palette.
I adore colour and making moodboards is an important part of my process when thinking about new artwork. So expect to see some new ideas popping up in the coming weeks.
There is a part 2 to this post. I think the art that you put on your walls is as important as the furniture or paint colours you choose. Yet it is often overlooked or a late addition to a living space. So in another post I’ll be looking at the art that would work in this interior style.
Check out my other moodboards. And let me know if there is a colour combination you are particularly enjoying right now.
Have an inspired day
