I’m not sure when or how I discovered Jenny Liz Rome’s Fashion Illustration. She’s just always been among some of my favourite fashion illustration hero’s. One of those creatives whose work I look at and I immediately feel excited. Jenny’s work makes me want to pick up a pencil and start drawing.
Her slightly surreal world really appeals to me. Ladies with bird cage and fish bowl heads, queens who wear crowns of flowers and foliage, beauties with bees and birds as hair accessories. Jenny Liz Rome’s Fashion Illustration is just wonderful.
She describes her work on her portfolio website:
I take inspiration from wildlife, dream like colours, modern women, classic style and the female form, to create surreal and dynamic fashion images.
Working as an illustrator in Southern Ontario, clients include Marie Claire, UNDIT and new UK lingeries brand ‘Full Disclosure.
Looking at her portfolio, you’ll see a varied array of projects which express massive imagination and creativity. All tied together with Jenny Liz Rome’s lovely aesthetic. Quite muted, minimal colour, beautiful pencil work, soft yet edgy.
I hope you’ve enjoyed discovering or re-discovering a wonderful artist this Friday. If there’s any artists, brands or creatives you think I should check out, do let me know.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody.
