Blog Boss & Colour Psychology

blog boss moodboard by Georgie St Clair Hi lovely readers. I’ve taken a step back from blogging recently, to take part in the decor8 Blog Boss course. I’ve taken one of Holly Becker’s ‘Blogging Your Way’ ecourses before which was very inspiring. What drew me to take part in this one, was the Colour Psychology element with ‘The Brand Stylist’ aka Fiona Humberstone.

I’ve read Fiona’s blog avidly for the last few months. Her insight into colour psychology is fascinating. I really recommend you take a look at her blog and services. She also runs workshops which I’m hoping to take in the new year, specifically ‘Colour Psychology for Creatives’. What could be more up my street than a whole workshop on colour.

As part of the colour element of the Blog Boss course, we’ve had to identify our brand ‘personality. How fascinating. Fiona described this as a game changer and well, she wasn’t wrong. It’s helped me personally by becoming so much more focused on my goals, vision and creative work.

As a result, I’ll be rebranding this blog and website in the coming weeks. I’m working on a whole new editorial calender and of course I’ll be writing regularly about my own work and inspirations. I’m so excited and refreshed!

Above is my blog inspiration moodboard. If you’re familiar with Fiona’s methodology of colour psychology, my branding has a summer personality with strong undertones of winter. Anyway I’ll be revealing more in the coming weeks.

In the meantime have a lovely day

I really struggled at first My personality is very Spring but my artwork is very summer. Thankfully Fiona clarified my dilemas! It’s funny – as I was reading the description of summer I thought of you and your blog. Isn’t it all so fascinating!

Thank you so much Leslie 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to watching your blog develop too. Redesigning a blog is very time consuming that’s for sure! But the blog boss course was really helpful x
